Smashing, exciting privacy policy
Balance Media collects information you provide voluntarily.
What we collect
This may include:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your address
- your job title
- your company
Why we collect it
We use this information for the following reasons:
- to enable us to provide you with services
- to send you relevant information about Balance
- to send you Word of the Week by email
- to respond to any enquiries or requests from you
Where we keep it
We store your data on a secure server and, if you are a Word of the Week subscriber, on Mailchimp. NB, sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit. Any data you send is at your own risk. We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.
Who gets to see it
We may pass on your personal information if the authorities come knocking. Other than that, we won’t share your information with any other organisation, whether for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites.
How you can get it back
You can find out what information we hold about you, and ask us not to use any of the information we have collected by sending a request to [email protected]. If you’ve signed up for Word of the Week, you can unsubscribe by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ link that appears in every email.
Links to other websites
Balancemedia.co.uk contains links to other websites. If you go to another website via one of these links, please check their privacy policy as we can’t be held responsible for data gathered from a website we link to. If you come to Balancemedia.co.uk from another website, we may receive information from that website. We won’t use this data. You should read the privacy policy of the website you came from to find out more about this.
Cookies
We like cookies but we’re trying to cut down, due to ill-fitting shirts. We don’t use the spooky little data file things on this website.
Changes to this policy
Balance may modify or update our privacy policy. If we make any material changes to the way we collect, store or process your data, we will inform you either by posting advance notice of such changes, or by directly sending you a notification. We are supposed to encourage you to regularly review this statement to learn how Balance is using and protecting your information but we’re aware how unlikely that is.
Any questions?
If you have any questions about your data and how we use it, please email [email protected]
