Official guide to Euro 96
When ‘football came home’, BBC Worldwide won the contract to produce the Official FA Guide to Euro 96. Having launched the first club-specific football magazine in the UK, United Monthly (Dennis Publishing), and published the thinking man’s Man United fanzine, The Shankill Skinhead, I was appointed editor.
I managed a small team of writers, designer and photographers to travel the country interviewing pundits, coaches and veterans of the 1966 World Cup, pulling together all the content for a high quality, perfect bound magazine in under two months.
